They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Java consultant/Developer to join their team on a contract basis i! n Scotland. The role will involve working on new global design and development projects You will work with global development teams and stakeholders. The role requires someone who is flexible, able to take ownership and responsibility for the delivery of new features for green field projects and enhancement of existing systems.
You must be adaptable to work across multiple technologies and disciplines with a focus on delivering quality solutions for the business. Skills Required - Java J2SE, Spring, JUnit, JMS - SQL - Sybase and/or DB2222 - Unix/Linux as a user and basic scripting - Unix/Linux OS - Scripting Perl/ksh - Good Problem solving and analytical skills - Understanding of message based architectures - Object Oriented Design and Development - Full software development lifecycle understanding - Appreciation of Agile software development - Good software development practices - Excellent oral and written communication skills Any previous experience in Banking/F! inancial Services would be an advantage THis is an excellent o! pportunity to be part of cutting edge and new projects
