You will be joining a well-established and experienced team. We are currently recruiting for an experienced and talented Chartered Engineer to join our Edinburgh office as Team Leader for our Renewable Energy sector.
Our Renewable Energy team are responsible for delivering technical solutions in respect of the civil and structural elements of renewable energy developments, mostly in the design and build approach. The team work closely with their colleagues in the Glasgow office on projects such as SSE and further large scale projects throughout the UK.
As Team Leader, you will provide the technical lead for delivering design solutions for our clients, and daily activities would involve managing less experienced engineers within the design team, producing calculations, design and detailing together with input into the preparation of technical reports. You! will have overall responsibility for the quality of the staff! works, and will provide leadership in terms of project management, financial and administrative functions and general project controls. You will track the financial performance of the team, and will provide mentorship, leadership, training and direction to the team of approximately 6 Engineers.
For this role, you will be a Chartered Engineer with a relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. You will be extensively experienced within a similar role at consultancy level and will be able to demonstrate effective project management, leadership and financial skills required for this level of responsibility. You will be a self-starter who is able to effectively manage the team and drive it through business development to help continue to grow the portfolio of work with both existing and new clients. Bid management and tender skills will be required for this role.
