We are now recruiting Delivery Postmen/Delivery Postwomen with driving duties to work at Cupar Delivery Office. Job reference number RML055577
Delivery Postpeople represent Royal Mail and are an established part of the community. You\'ll enjoy working outdoors and meeting people and have a professional and positive attitude.
As a Delivery Postperson, you will start the day by accurately sorting the mail into your delivery route. The average delivery walk lasts approximately 3 and a half hours and each day you will have to deliver multiple bags (approximately 6-8 mailbags), which can each weigh up to 16kg. You will work in all weathers delivering the mail either on foot, by cycle or in a shared van.When driving, you\'ll collect mail from Post Office branches, businesses and post-boxes, transporting it to mail centres, delivery offices and airports.
You must hold a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
You! need to consider how you will get to work, as public transport may not be available at the start of your shift.
The recruitment process can take up to 7 weeks once the vacancy is live on the Royal Mail Website.

Contract:
Temporary - 6 months
Hours of work:
Part time, 22 hours 30 minutes per week (9.00am - 1.30pm 5 days across Monday to Saturday with 1 day off) you may be required to work late shifts
Flexibility is essential as start and finish times may vary depending on workload, and you may also be required to work in other offices in the area.
Salary:
Age 17 - £6.67, Age 18 and above - £8.58 per hour
We als! o offer a Delivery Functional Supplement of £21.62 (pro -rata) plus ov! ertime and shift allowance if applicable.
With a pay increment after 6 & 12 months (subject to satisfactory performance)
Delivery Postman / Delivery Postwoman requirements:

Geographical knowledge preferred
