We are recruiting for a Regional Compliance and Maintenance Technician, to work in a newly established unit within Estates and Maintenance. The aim is to become a focused in-house solutions in the delivery of the maintenance to our property portfolio, to include but not limited to Test and Inspection, fire alarm maintenance, AOV̢۪s and lightning protection.

Purpose of Job:
To undertake electrical works across properties within the regional portfolio, including: periodic inspections and tests, fire alarm maintenance, AOV maintenance lightn! ing protection testing, emergency repairs, fault finding, elec! trical installations, partial re-wires and general electrical works

To deliver central processes and conduct all duties in line with company policy and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivering a high level of service to customers across multiple sites

  • Completing planned test, inspections, certification and all remedial works identified.
  • Completing Fire Alarm, Lightning Protection and AOV planned maintenance.
  • Locating and rectifying a wide range of electrical faults
  • Completing all paperwork required for property files and ensuring all records of site operation are accurate, structured and compliant with UNITE Policies and Procedures
  • Undertaking all works to the highest safety standards and in line with all current regulations.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety legislation is adhered to at all times
  • Meeting deadlines for testing installations and repairs
  • Being economical w! ith company goods and materials
  • Maintaining a good understanding of the trade and applying this at all times
  • Providing outstanding customer service in line with the group.
  • Wearing correct uniform at all times, including ID card and name badge
  • Working within the required Risk Assessments and Method Statements at all times, reviewing all tasks for risk before starting and ensuring that risks are eliminated before work begins.
  • Complying with Policy and Procedure for lone working
Working effectively within the team

  • Working as part of a team to provide a high quality service
  • Contributing suggestions for areas of improvement to benefit the business
  • Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with support teams internally and 3rd party suppliers, and reporting any issues to the Facilities Supervisor
  • Attending city team meetings to provide updates and recommendations! for better practice.
  • Attending and complying with Tool Box Ta! lks with Facilities Team
Supporting the delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPI̢۪s)

  • Ensuring all work is completed within the required standards and KPI targets set by the business
  • Maintaining the highest level of productivity at all times
  • Ensuring a functional and secure environment for staff and residents
  • Completing works to the quality and finish that is expected
  • Conducting inspection of vehicles to ensure that high standards are maintained and reporting any issues immediately to your Line Manager.
  • Ensuring consistent reviews of hazards and risks for safe working practices
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
  • NICEIC 17th Edition qualified
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified or City and Guilds 236 Part 1 and 2
